TEEN BIBLE MINISTRY

This ministry is geared towards gradually preparing our young people; between the ages of 11 and 17 years, for Confirmation as responsible adult members and assimilation into the Adult Service of the Ghana United Methodist Church.

Starting with eight Teens in August of 2010, the Ministry now has over  70 members and counting. The Almighty God is still drawing children to Himself.

In an effort to ensure continuum and smooth transition from one Ministry to another, a new program has been undertaken with the Children’s Ministry to graduate 11 year olds into the Ministry. We are very grateful to the Leadership of the Children’s Ministry for their efforts.

Young people gather every Sunday worship period; 9am to 10:30am or 11:30am to 1pm: to learn how to worship the Lord God Almighty as United Methodists; to learn how to develop a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus; to learn how to serve others in the Community and to learn how to socialize in a godly and responsible manner.

This is done mainly through the study of the Bible, the study and singing of hymns from the Methodist Hymn Book and participation in general discussion as to how to live by the Word of God in today's world and youth culture. Every first Sunday of the month, members of the Ministry join the Adult service for Worship. This affords them the opportunity to appreciate the worship life of the church and fellowship with older members.

Members of the Ministry also have the opportunity to join the Youth Fellowship.

The Ministry organizes activities that offer its members an opportunity to know each other outside the  confines of the church. Members are also encouraged to be part of the Youth Fellowship who organize youthful programs every Saturday (5pm - 7pm).

Parents are encouraged to bring and enroll their Teenagers in the Program; the future benefits are enormous and there are virtually no costs.
