RESIDENT MINISTER

Rev. Dr. Samuel Acquaah Arhin

Reverend Dr. Samuel Acquaah-Arhin was ordained in the Methodist Church of Ghana where he started his ministry and served the Winneba Diocese (GomoaBrofo and Winneba) for 6 years.  He has been in pastoral ministry for over 36 years.

 

In addition to pastoral work, Rev. Dr. Acquaah-Arhin worked for 13 years as a clinical counselor and program coordinator at Downstate Hospital's Family Centered Care in Brooklyn New York.

 

He is a product of Drew Theological Seminary and Columbia University. He holds a doctorate degree in pastoral counseling and psychotherapy and has a passion for the care of people's souls. Such passion has propelled him in being instrumental in the establishment of over four churches in the United States (Delaware, New Jersey, Staten Island, Queens and Brooklyn). 

 

On the Conference and District levels, Rev. Dr. Acquaah-Arhin is involved in educating the laity on servant leadership, taught at the Mission University of the United Methodist Women and continues to serve on the Conference Board of Ordained Ministry. He is married to Adjoa and they have two sons and a daughter (Jesse, Joshua and Samelle).
